More For the Shop

I added this sweet quilt to the shop today. Wouldn’t she make a lovely addition to a baby girl’s nursery?

 Also a few pairs of potholders added to the selection.

Been a While…

After a summer of gardening and preserving, I was more than ready to jump back into sewing. There are a few new colorful lovelies in the shop:

{calico snowballs :: hand appliqued and hand quilted}

{square rainbow :: a scrapbox buster}

{bright pinwheels :: so cheerful}

Find them in the quilt section of the shop.

New Additions

Several pairs of pot holders and a chevron baby blanket.  I had a lot of fun with this new pot holder design. Also, those blues? Striking, yes?

Oh and also this fish pouch. I made myself a wallet using this fabric and figured the leftovers would make a cute zippered pouch.

A Scrappy One

    This quilt came together much better than I thought it would and i’m so happy with it.

I used foundation paper piecing for the diagonal stripes. I realized later then that this would make the squares be on the bias. I thought for sure it would be all wonky til I was finished but it wasn’t at all. Hooray!

This quilt really used up a lot of scraps. Seems I can never get rid of those!

Find it here on Etsy.

Keepsake Blanket

A friend asked me to make this for her little boy. It’s made from a bunch of his clothes and blankets from his first year.

It was a really fun project. It was like a giant puzzle cutting up tiny onesies and finding the perfect place for each piece. My favorite is this little car that was on the seat of a pair of pants. The pants had tucks and such so they didn’t make a good, flat patch. I just cut out the car and appliquéd it over a few other existing patches.
